This Viking Quadrant Berserker Shield features a black pre-stained wooden body with a steel boss, rim and metal braces riveted across the shield. The back features a genuine leather arm strap with steel buckle and a comfortable steel handle. Viking warriors were highly feared across Europe for their brutal attacks and unorthodox for the time weapon of choice, the battle axe. Well known for their close quarter fighting style and berserker's, most Vikings warriors were modestly armored with only shields like this one.
